Day 94

Walk thru life as if...
You are totally loved.
Totally successful.
Totally rich.
Totally beautiful.
Because you are.

What would Love do now?

Never cease to give thanks,
for it is a positive attitude towards life
and the very act of giving thanks
which draws the very best to you.
Eileen Caddy

When we walk to the edge of all the light we have
and take that step into the darkness of the Unknown,
we must believe that one of two things will happen:
There will be something solid for us to stand on
or the Gods will teach us to fly!

If you are angry,
solve it before the sun goes down.
Old Testament

The miracle is you.

Day 93

My delightful friend had this dessert in a London restaurant.
That's as close as I'll get to the Royal Wedding today!

JEAN PIERRE'S INCREDIBLE ICE CREAM
Soften  some really good Vanilla Ice Cream a bit -
maybe Haagen Das
Scoop into bowls
Freshly grate Black Pepper over the ice cream
Splash with a couple of tablespoons of Scotch or gold Tequila.
Don't get pissed (English for drunk!)

Day 92

Forgive.
Everyone.
Everything.

To handle yourself, use your head.
To handle others, use your heart.

Start taking everything as a compliment.

We grow neither better nor worse as we get old, but more like ourselves.
May Lambeton Becker

I retain my gorgeous beauty at all times.

I give away my light.

Do not control, appreciate.

Consistently convince yourself not to live in the past.

Breathe in self-esteem.

Have an intimate relationship with yourself:
Do not apologize.
Do not feel guilty.
Do not criticize.

Day 90

No doubts will be allowed in my mind today.

Help me to remember my real job is to love the world back to health.

Be concerned that you do not offend, not that you are not offended.

Concentrate on giving so you can open yourself up to receiving.

Fear nothing and radiate love and expect things to come.

Know that you are being watched over.

Bitter or Better?

Before the tongue can speak,
it must have lost the power to wound.

Are the thought you are thinking
and the things you are doing
bringing you inner peace?
If not, try again.

Live to give, not to get.

Always look for the lesson.

Day 88

Nigerian Proverbs
Even an old woman may run when a goat carries her snuff-box.
Our examples are like seeds on a windy day, they spread far and wide.
He who digs a pit for others must invariably fall into it.
To have no enemies is equivalent to wealth.
Without retaliation evils would one day become extinct from the world.
He who does not look ahead always remains behind.
A child's face is his mirror.
Love is better than a whip.
Even as the archer loves the arrow that flies,
so too he loves the bow that remains constant in his hands.
The tree that cannot shed its old leaves in the dry season, cannot survive the period of drought.
A glorious past is the work of a glorious man.
The owl is the wisest of all birds because the more it sees, the less it talks.
The gods may still send a gentle breeze when they want to bless us.

Day 86

Hold a true friend in both hands.

The gods only hear one wish at a time, and nothing more.

One must row in whichever boat one finds one's self.
It is little by little that a bird builds its nest.
A single tree can not make a forest.
It is not only the hare, the tortoise arrives also at the destination.
Without knowing a person we must not hate him.
By being grateful, a man makes himself deserving of yet another kindness.
Criticism is easy but it does not create.
If one imitates the upright, one becomes upright; if one imitates the crooked, one becomes crooked.
The bottom of wealth is sometimes a dirty thing to behold.
We are what our thinking makes us.
A good name is better than gold.

I took a chance and was fantastically rewarded!

Plus more for dredging

1 cup self rising Flour
2 Eggs, plus 1 Yolk
Peanut Oil

Heat water in pan with sugar and salt till hot.

Remove from heat.
Transfer to stand mixer bowl.
Mix on low until steam no longer escapes from the dough.
With mixer on medium, add one egg at a time until shiny, scraping sides.
Then add yolk.
Transfer to a piping bag with star tip.
Heat oil in pan to 375 degrees.
Squeeze out dough in 4-5 inch strips and fry till golden on both sides.

Day 74

Confidence comes from the heart.
If it's attached to anger it becomes arrogance.

Do something different every day.

When you truly care for someone,
you don't look for faults, you don't look for answers, you don't look for mistakes.
Instead you fight the mistakes,
you accept the faults, and you overlook the excuses.

I will be gentle with myself.

Disappointments are like road bumps:
they slow you down a bit, but you enjoy the smooth ride afterwards.

The walls we build around us to keep out the sadness also keep out the joy.

Day 66

The world gets a little better every day, and worse in the evening.

Success is a great deodorant. It takes away all your past smells.

This may be a tough as it gets, but don’t count on it.

By the time you can make ends meet, they move the ends.

Sometimes too much drink is not enough.

The facts, although interesting, are generally irrelevant.

Vulgarity is a very important ingredient in life.
A little bad taste is like nice splash of paprika.
We all need a splash of bad taste—it's hearty, it's healthy, it's physical.
No taste is what I'm against.
